Raw, Refined, Defined
A time to heal,
a time to hone.
Hobbies to soothe our restless spirits,
stirred within us the desire of pursuits.
Sent ourselves through the narrow road;
shed a decent tear or two.
Yet we chase these dreams,
even as we fret.
Albeit some days are harder than the rest,
our skills and their smiles will leave us with little regret.
Along this journey, our paths cross.
what lies ahead we know not.
But we know,
this is for forever.
A year on from our first collaboration, after months of experimentation and developing our personal styles in our crafts, we have gathered again to pull together another styled shoot. This time, we went with a Japandi theme - a medley of Japanese and Scandinavian inspired elements.
The light and muted hues, paired together with smooth, clean curves of the furnishings in the studio are trademark of contemporary Nordic design. Along the same thread of thought, gowns of soft linen draped off their shoulders as they wore a casual updo or tousled waves on their crown.
The choice of feathery textures and wispy lines was a faint nod to Japanese ikebana, a creative expression that has become a signature of the Eve Keepers style. Having always been personally enamoured by the concept of Wabi-sabi - an aesthetic defined as the beauty of things "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" - the florals and foliage were intentionally designed to convey that philosophy.
Look closer at the cards and one will notice that it tells the story of a friendship that has been refined by rich experiences and has stood the test of time. Two being there for each other as one walks down the aisle.
