+ What information would be required at the start for us to start planning for our wedding decor?
If you have already booked your venue and they have existing packages in place that covers for certain floral decor, you could check in with them on which items are provided in the package, in order to determine what additional items are required. Alternatively, if you would like to explore more customised options with us, you could discuss with your venue on whether there is flexibility in refunding the amount or transferring the amount for the decor to external vendors.
Besides checking with your venue, we will be more than happy to style for your wedding and appreciate your help to share the following information with us:
Date of event
Timing of event, whether it is a lunch or dinner solemnisation / reception
Venue
Items required
Budget
Reference pictures / moodboard
We have a rate card that you can refer to as well that can help you calculate the cost estimates for your wedding. Please note that the prices will be revised from time to time and will be best to check in with us again when you are keen to secure a booking.
+ What are the costs involved in floral decor?
Cost of materials - these include flowers and foliage, vessels (i.e. vases, trays, etc.), props rental (such as the acrylic plinths for the backdrop), as well as miscellaneous items (i.e. ribbons, foam, wire, twine, etc.). We tend to procure some extra flowers to factor in for touch ups onsite that result from damage during transport or any areas that could do with a bit more florals when it is viewed from various angles at the actual venue.
Labour and installation - these include the time required to plan and source for the items, to process the items (e.g. for flowers and foliage they need to be pruned individually and kept hydrated, among the steps required to maintain their freshness), to style the arrangements, to pack and load the items onto the vehicles, and unload them, to set up the arrangements onsite, and after which they will need to be taken down and transported back to be sorted and unpacked.
Transport - these include the fees to engage a delivery service to deliver personal flowers (i.e. bridal bouquet and boutonnieres) at a separate timing and destination, as well as fees to hire vans to deliver the items to the venue and back.
The above are general costs involved and are non-exhaustive.
